NEXO Free Trial – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the NEXO Free Trial ("Trial"). By registering for or using the Trial, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Trial Period
1.1 The NEXO Free Trial is offered for a limited period of 14 days from the date of account activation.
1.2 The Trial provides access to selected NEXO features as determined by NEXO from time to time.
1.3 NEXO reserves the right to modify, limit, or withdraw the Trial at any time without prior notice.
2. Eligibility
2.1 The Trial is available to new customers only, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2.2 Only one Trial per business entity is permitted.
2.3 NEXO may refuse or terminate Trial access if misuse or abuse is suspected.
3. Scope of Trial (Software-Only)
3.1 The NEXO Free Trial is strictly a software-only offering.
3.2 The Trial does not include any NEXO card machines, payment terminals, hardware devices, or peripherals of any kind.
3.3 Any card machines, payment terminals, or hardware required for live transaction processing must be purchased, rented, or contracted separately under a paid agreement and are not included in the Trial unless expressly agreed in writing by NEXO.
4. Costs & Charges
4.1 The Trial is provided free of charge during the Trial period.
4.2 No payment is required to start the Trial unless explicitly stated.
4.3 Optional add-ons, hardware, integrations, or third-party services are excluded unless agreed separately.
5. No Obligation to Continue
5.1 Use of the Trial does not obligate you to subscribe to a paid plan.
5.2 At the end of the Trial, access may be suspended or limited unless a paid subscription is activated.
6. Data & Account Responsibility
6.1 All data entered during the Trial remains the property of the customer.
6.2 Customers are responsible for exporting any data before the Trial ends.
6.3 NEXO is not responsible for data loss following Trial expiry or account deactivation.
7. Acceptable Use
7.1 The Trial may only be used for legitimate business purposes.
7.2 You may not:
- Share login credentials with unauthorised users
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or misuse the platform
- Use the Trial for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive activity
7.3 Breach of acceptable use may result in immediate termination of the Trial.
8. System Availability
8.1 NEXO is a cloud-based platform, and availability may be affected by maintenance, updates, or external factors.
8.2 No service-level guarantees or uptime commitments apply during the Trial period.
9. Support During Trial
9.1 Trial users receive limited support, as determined by NEXO.
9.2 Priority support, onboarding, training, and customisation are available on paid plans only, unless agreed otherwise.
10. Conversion to Paid Subscription
10.1 Pricing, packages, and features available after the Trial may differ from Trial access.
10.2 Subscription fees will only apply once a paid plan is confirmed by the customer.
10.3 All paid subscriptions are subject to NEXO's standard Commercial Terms.
11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 The Trial is provided "as is" and "as available."
11.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, NEXO shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Trial.
12. Governing Law
12.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
12.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.
